~Wonderful Days aka Sky Blue~

First found this anime while browsing in a shop one day and it looked pretty awesome, although some may state, "Dont judge a book (dvd in this case) by its cover", it was cheap, i bought it and hey imma review this puppy (:

Sky blue is basically about a rebel fighter in a city called Ecoban who escapes from the "diggers", which the city of Ecoban is controlled over. This rebel fighter must therefore infiltrate the city and escape with its secrets to win freedom of the slaves and save the planet from total destruction.
It was apparently shot over a painstakingly 7 year period and Empire have stated it to be "Akira for the 21st century".

Visually, Sky Blue is stunning, storyline could've been improved in my opinion, at times quite hard to follow but it's worth checking out.

Rated 15 for anyone who's concerned as it contains 'moderate bloody violence' (:

~Pita Ten~

Pita Ten is a japanese manga created by Koge Donbo and has also been adapted into an Anime series, so you have the choice to read or watch. Quick note, The anime isn't as sad as the manga, you can see for youself on why that is, i dont explain everything you know ^.^

(Contains spoilers!)

The main character of Pita Ten is Kotarou Higuchi (Guy at front of picture with light purple hair). He is a laid back, calm and collective sixth grader who lives alone with his father after his mother died in a freak accident. Katarou is usually seen feeling down or depressed until one day he meets a strange pink haired girl outside his door. Also falls in love with Misha.

Misha (Girl at far left of picture with pink hair) is an apprentice angel sent to Kotarou to make him happy, a mistake with another boy, Kotaroh, who Misha once looked after and died (AHH big spoiler..well i did warn you). She is extremely cute and perky and Kotarou's new neighbour, who also falls in love with him.

When the group win tickets to a hot spring, they meet a girl known as Shia (Girl on far right of picture with brown/greenish hair) who is secretly a demon apprentice. She is however, extremley polite and gentle, also very good at cooking and cleaning (kinda like a mother figure to Kotarou). She is usually very weak, due to Misha's angelic influence. Shia has a tendency to bite Kotarou (so kinda like a vampire) to find details of her past that she has been searching for. In the end (SPOILER D:) we find out that Shia was Kotarou's great grandfathers wife as back the she was known as Shima. She is always seen with a black cat called Nya aka Klaus (a full fledged demon) who erased her memory of Taro (Kotarou's great grandfather and her children).

Takashi (Ten Chan) is one of Kotarou's close friends (Guy above Kotarou with blonde hair in the picture) and very much a ladies man. Despite his popularity he has troubled home life and develops a major crush on Shia.

Koboshi is also one of Kotarou's close friends (Girl on far right with blonde hair in the picture) and has always loved him and worshipped him. She can't stand Misha for always being with him and she's extremley loud mouthed but kind.

Hiroshi (Dai Chan) is an enemy of Takashi (Guy just behind Takashi with dark purple hair in the picture) who is always nagging about his grades and attempting to be the best. He senses Shia's demon-ness and tries to exoricse her most of the time, also has a huge crush on Misha.

Kaoru is Hiroshi's sister (Last girl in the picture at the top with dark purple hair) who has a serious infatuation with Takashi. She can also be quite violent.

Shino is Kotarou's litte cousin who like him can also see demons, angels and ghosts.

Sasha is Misha's sister and a fully fledged angel who has a small rivalry against Nya and tests Misha for her angel exams. Also has a slight infatuation with Takashi.

Taro Higuchi is Kotarou's great grandfather who fell in love with Shima (Shia's past self).

Kotaroh Higuichi was Taro's first child and Kotarou's grand uncle who loved Misha as a child. Knowing that he couldnt be with her as she had to return to heaven, he commited suicide. And is now mixed up with Kotarou, who Misha thinks is Kotaroh reborn (confusing i know).

The manga is a love story, also kinda a love triangle in some parts and is really cute but can also be quite upsetting (depending on what you think).

It's a really enjoyable read and also a great anime to watch, ch-ch-ch-check it out

~Ponyo on The Cliff By The Sea~

Before i start, this is such an adorable film ^-^
And this blog contains Spoilers!

Really cheers you up if you've had a bad day, your husband/wife has attacked you with a wooden spoon, your pet hamsters ran away or TO be normal for even a second Naomi >.> Your just not feeling 100%.

So it was created from the masterminds, Studio Ghibli, that brought you Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro, Howls Moving Castle etc.



Then they brought this cupcake out :)


Ponyo is about a fish girl (cute thing..Goldfish as the main character Sosuke thinks, You can think otherwise..Cute blob..etc) who lives with her strange father in an underwater castle with many other little Ponyos.

When out on their four-flippered submarine, Ponyo escapes to go for an exploring adventure only to be caught in a glass bottle and ends up on the shores of a small town.

Sosuke who lives with his mother Lisa, finds her and breaks open the bottle only to cut his thumb, when thinking Ponyo is dead, Ponyo licks the blood from his finger indicating that she is alive (Ps: Thats quite creepy, but dont panic Ponyo is no vampire)

Ponyos father Fujimoto sends his wave spirits to go and retrieve her, leaving Sosuke devastated and heart broken, just when Ponyo begins to talk to him (How cruel ;-;).


Back at the castle underwater, Ponyo and Fujimoto have an argument as Ponyo wants to become human and return to Sosuke. She suddenly starts to grow legs and arms, a consequence of licking human blood. As Fujimoto summons Ponyo's mother, Ponyo uses her fathers magic to transform her into a human girl which causes a strange imbalance on the world and a huge storm.

Ponyo finds her way back to Sosuke and Lisa, and stays with them, eating noodles and ham (ponyo likes ham ;-;). As the storm dies down, Lisa who works in a nursing home decides to drive out and see if everyone is okay, leaving Sosuke and Ponyo asleep.

Next morning the sea has risen drastically, covering the roads and town. Ponyo then has to help Sosuke to find Lisa using her magic powers which then fade as Ponyo is slowly transforming into a fish again. Fujimoto finds them both and brings them down into the sea where the nursing home is located and the people are magically breathing underwater.

Ponyo has to make a deal with her mother that if she wants to stay human and live with Sosuke she has to give up her powers. Ponyo agrees and then has to wait for Sosuke to kiss the bubble that she is kept in. At the end Ponyo cant wait any longer and bounces out of Sosukes hand in the bubble and lands on his lips, transforming her into a little girl again (Gawww ^-^)



Overall Ponyo is incredably cute and worth checking out ^-^

Like all Studio Ghibli films, it is a tad weird but the very good kind (:

So yes..Manga, Anime, Pandas in tophats and all that jazz.
Last one i did was bleach that i can see here, was talking about doing pita ten - It's very cute (:

ALSO...Before that i think i have to talk about Ponyo ;-; *Crys at cuteness*

It may cheer you up for the 'Winter Blues', whatever that is o.O

So yes on with Ponyo i think cause i can't hole it back any longer

Yes ive created my "Chuckle Corner", Your daily dose of er, Chuckle.
So here we have Hello Kitty, from the insane mind of someone i sadly dont know.

Its Quality and you know it ^____^

~Bleach~

Not the cleaning product of course but a manga that has been also adapted into an anime series. I must say, personally, im quite a fan of Bleach (ブリーチ) so im starting with this one.

Basically (Oh theres always basics) a teenage boy named Ichigo Kurosaki lives with his two sisters (Karin, Yuzu) and his, might i add, very annoying father. They run a family medical clinic in Karakura town and their Mother (Spoiler) died from death to a "Hollow"

The story unfolds when Rukia Kuchiki (朽木 ルキア,) appears in Ichigos' bedroom and is stuned by the fact that he can see her (Dun..Dun..DUN. Yes). They are suddenly interrupted by a "Hollow" a demon race in the anime Bleach that devours souls (Creepy.) Of course Ichigos family's lives are put at sudden risk, held out like bait to a shark. Being a hot headed red head (no pun intended nor offence given), Ichigo tries to fight the Hollow himself (what a fool huh?), Rukia suddenly protects him from the Hollow which gives her a sudden injury to the shoulder area. This is when Ichigo becomes a "Soul Reaper" by inserting Rukia's "Soul Slayer" (AKA Sword) into his chest, resulting in total theifery to her powers. He beats the Hollow (well we saw that coming) and the story unfolds from a simple greeting of names.

In general Bleach is jam packed with great characters and more to meet along the way! With lots of uh, slaying, of Hollows, Funny Bits and general some slap happy humour. But it's also filled with serious plots and missions. Especially when (Spoiler Alert) Rukia is taken back to "Soul Society" (The place where all Soul Repears stay and train) for comitting the crime of giving her power away to a human and staying on the earth. Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, Ishida, Kukaku, Hanataro and a peculiar cat set off to save her from execution. [Chad, Orihime, Ichigo, Kukaku, Hanataro, Ishida]


Personally, my two favourite characters are Yourichi (the peculiar cats true form) and Ishida.
So i'll give a small run down on their characteristics.

Yoruichi Shihōin
Yoruichi is known as the "Goddess of Flash", (Not like flashing that you would become arrested for) using flash steps (瞬歩, shunpo), a high speed movement ability. She can transform into a black cat with a very deep voice which confuses characters with her gender when she takes this form. She decides to train Ichigo and appears quite alot in the Anime. In my own opinion she kicks some serious ass.

Uryū Ishida

Ishida is known as the somewhat "geek", of the group. He's usually found using intellegence to help the missions move along. Ishida is a "Quincy", a clan of humans who use their powers to combat Hollows and protect humans. Soul Repears purify the souls of Hollows so that they can finally rest in peace but Quincys kill the Hollow and Soul. This forms a dislike between Ishida and Ichigo at the beginning as Quincys dispise Soul Repears.




Bleach contains some very good music in the openning/ending credits and during the show. Bands such as 'High And Mighty Colour' and 'Shiro Sagisu' who mainly do instrumentals throughout.
Overall Bleach is a great anime thats worth checking out!
I give it an overall rating of..(Drum Roll Please) 9/10!
